Experiencing Light
Welcome to the lighting experience, where art and nature collide. This project immerses people in the dramatic spectacle of a cracking earth, a hostile storm, and the raw power of nature. Customized pendant lights mimic the soil's fissures, while strobing effects and thunderous sounds evoke the storm's fury. Adding to the sensory journey, metaphorical cloud-like light fixtures create a second layer of the experience. The subtle scents of rain and earth, complemented by swirling smoke, create an experience that inspires the imagination to be in this type of hostile situation.
Exploring Light
Highlighting some of the explorative ways light shapes buildings' ambiance, casting design and functional shadows. Also, I learned through the process that the artistry behind architectural lighting, from natural sunlight to artificial fixtures, is fascinating if we understand the relationship. I have learned how architects utilize illumination for aesthetics, mood, and energy efficiency. Uncovering light's transformative role in shaping structures, from landmarks to homes, has been rewarding.
